Before placing an order, please read my Shipping and Returns policies carefully and let me know if you have any questions by sending an email to melissa@mgjsa.com.au.

 

Turnaround times

  • All products that appear in my online store are Made to Order so please allow approximately 10 working days for the making of your order before it is posted to you.
  • Special Orders, Repairs and my Aftercare Service may take up to 15 - 20 working days depending on what Special Order is being handmade or what Repairs or Aftercare Service you require. If your Special Order, Repair or Aftercare Service is going to take longer than expected, I will be sure to communicate with you via email regarding its progress and dispatch date.   • Commissions may take up to 4 weeks depending on what piece of jewellery is being especially handmade for you and how long it will take to make. If your special commission piece is going to take longer than expected I will be sure to communicate with you via email regarding its progress and dispatch date. Please click here for further information about my Commissions.
  • If you require a piece of jewellery urgently or by a specific date, please email me as soon as possible before placing your order to ensure that I can best accommodate your personal situation. With prior notice I can best prepare for your needs and discuss an appropriate turnaround time depending on what piece of jewellery you need and how urgently you need it by.

SHIPPING

Shipping within Australia

  • Great news! I am offering FREE shipping for all orders within Australia!
  • To ensure a safe and reliable shipping option for my customers all orders within Australia will be sent with Australia Post using their Parcel Post service with tracking. (Melissa Gillespie Jewellery will use Parcel Post satchels which are light weight, durable and made from 80% recycled plastic).
  • Once your order has been handmade and dispatched, you will receive a notification email with a tracking number. You are more than welcome to track your order at any time with Australia Post using the following website auspost.com.au/mypost/track or, download the ‘AusPost’ app to track your parcel from your mobile device.
  • Melissa Gillespie Jewellery will provide ‘Extra Cover’ for items valued over $100 and a ‘Signature on Delivery’ option for items such as Special Orders or Commission pieces that are valued over $500. These additional features will be included with your order to further ensure that your parcel arrives safely at its destination, and that the right person receives it. Customers will be required to provide a signature on delivery, unless they have opted for their order to be sent to a Post Office Box, and have given authority to have their parcel delivered without a signature.
  • My Parcel Post delivery option may take approximately 2 - 5 working days depending on where you are within Australia. WA, TAS and the NT might take a little longer to deliver to metropolitan locations. Deliveries to regional or rural locations within Australia will likely take longer.
  • An Express Post option will be available to customers who need a piece of jewellery urgently, however this will incur a $10 shipping fee that will be payable before the dispatch of your item. If possible, please email me before placing your order so that I can arrange to have your item shipped via Express Post if you need.

Shipping outside of Australia

  • I will do my best to ship to you safely if you have placed an order outside of Australia.
  • All orders being sent outside of Australia will be shipped via Australia Post using Standard International Parcel Post with a tracking number.
  • Once your order has been handmade and lodged with Australia Post, you will be notified by email and given a tracking number. You are more than welcome to track your order at any time with Australia Post using the following website auspost.com.au/mypost/track or, download the ‘AusPost’ app to track your parcel from your mobile device.
  • All international orders will be charged a flat rate of AUD $20 for postage at the Checkout.
  • If your order is over $100 you do have an option to add 'Extra Cover’ and/or ‘Signature on Delivery’ for an extra fee. If you would like to add insurance to ensure the safe delivery of your parcel, please email me at melissa@mgjsa.com.au for pricing before placing your order. I would only be too happy to help.
  • Please allow 3 – 4 weeks (or possibly longer) for the delivery of your order outside of Australia, as parcel deliveries are still taking longer than usual to arrive.
  • Melissa Gillespie Jewellery will not be responsible for any import duties or taxes incurred, as each order may have their own import duties or taxes which may be necessary to pay in that country.
  • It's important to note that some countries are not currently accepting deliveries due to Covid-19 restrictions, and some are experiencing delays and disruptions to normal delivery times due to Covid-19.
  • Before placing an order, please contact me by sending an email to melissa@mgjsa.com.au should you have any questions regarding International Shipping and/or turnaround times to your country. I would only be too happy to help.

    RETURNS

    I want you to choose your jewellery carefully and feel completely happy with your purchase so if you happen to receive your order and find that it wasn’t quite what you expected, you are able to return the unused item back to me within 5 working days of receiving your order.

    I am unfortunately unable to process a return if the following criteria are not met:

    • You send an email to melissa@mgjsa.com.au as soon as possible or within 5 working days of receiving your item to lodge a return. Please provide proof of purchase by including your personal details and invoice number in the lodgment if possible.
    • You post the item back to me within 5 working days from the date you lodged the return. I will provide my return delivery address throughout this process. Please be sure to select a reliable courier or postal option to ensure the safe return of your item.
    • It is imperative that the item is returned in resalable condition, meaning it must be visibly unworn, unused, and deemed to be in the exact same condition as when it was sent. The packaging must also be intact and undamaged.

    Once the unused item is received within these timeframes and deemed to be in perfect condition, a refund should be approved. A full refund will be processed on your original payment method as soon as possible following these procedures. This overall process may take a few days, so please be patient. Please also keep in mind that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

    Please be aware that this refund policy does not apply to items which have been worn, used, damaged after delivery, altered, or broken. Nor does it apply to Special Orders or Commission pieces. Unfortunately, we cannot apply refunds to sale items, special offers or Gift Cards. Please also note that postage costs will not be refunded for change of mind circumstances.

    Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me immediately if you can see that your item is defective or damaged, or if you have received the wrong item, so that I can amend this for you urgently. In the rare event that your jewellery becomes damaged in transit, please email me within 5 working days of receiving your order so I can rectify this issue for you as soon as possible. Once the item has been returned and assessed I should be able to offer you a repair or replacement. Again, this process may take time, so please be patient.

    We don't offer a direct exchange between an item or multiple items, but the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to lodge a return for the item you wish to return, and make a separate purchase for the new item you are after.

    If you have any questions or concerns about any of my jewellery pieces please email me BEFORE you place an order. You may have an enquiry about a bangle size or length of chain, or even a question about a particular color that you would like clarified before making your decision. Getting more information about a particular design BEFORE placing an order may save you the hassle of having to return the unused item back to me in the first place. No question is too silly, so please get in touch!
